How Do You See Yourself? A Wearable Tech Workshop
Sylvia Heisel will be leading an experimental workshop where users will play with and photograph themselves wearing new tech materials and non-traditional clothing items such as reflective thread, tyvek, and wearable LEDs.
As an artist Sylvia create interactive environments. In one such project, she created a room in tyvek where people could try on abstract pieces and play.

Sylvia Heisel’s designs embody simplicity, creativity, technology, sustainability and quality. Influenced as much by contemporary art and design as the fashion world, Sylvia eponymous collection of women’s designer clothing is carried in some of America’s best specialty stores.Obsessed with new technologies, Sylvia is extremely knowledgeable about new materials, manufacturing processes and physical computing. Her recent collections have included LED-lit skirts, reflective clothes and accessories and 3D printed trims. A visual artist as well as designer, Sylvia also creates and consults on sustainable temporary interiors, environments, displays and events. In partnership with her husband, Scott Taylor, they make places, objects and experiences that combine contemporary design, art, fashion, culture, technology and lifestyle.
